He created the harbour with the intention of increasing trade and tourism to the area of Nueva Andalucia and have without a doubt succeded. Puerto Banus has it peak season in the summer period where the young population from the coast goes to party the whole night and enjoy the long warm summer nights on the promenade, dinner in this harbour is highly recommended, as it has a unique and wonderful atmosphere and could easily be given the name "the harbour that never sleeps" during the summer periods.
